A Cook County woman has sued a Frankfort market for injuries she allegedly sustained in a slip-and-fall accident at the store.

Mary Lou Murphy, of Midlothian, filed suit March 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against Butera Finer Foods Inc., citing negligence.

According to the complaint, on June 26, 2013, Murphy was at the market,on South LaGrange Road, Frankfort, when she slipped on a puddle caused by a leaky ceiling.

The plaintiff claims serious and permanent injuries, extensive medical treatment, the expenditure of "great sums of money" and physical and mental pain and suffering.

Murphy seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by the Ankin Law Office in Chicago.
