A surgical practice based in Kane County has sued to recover money allegedly owed for a surgical procedure performed in advance of payment.
Ambulatory Surgical Care Facility filed a lawsuit May 5 in Cook County Circuit Court, against Gallagher Bassett Services Inc., New Hampshire Insurance Co. and Compass Group USA Inc.
According to the complaint, Ambulatory Surgical Care Facility seeks to recover payments owed by the defendants for an express written pre-approval to perform an operation. The defendants also have "refused to pay accrued statutory interest," the lawsuit states.
Ambulatory Surgical Care Facility seeks $22,957, plus interest of $10,730. It is represented by attorney Katherine A. Rehan, of the Law Offices of Douglas R. Johnson in Chicago.
