Man alleges trip on broken cement at Racine Blue Line station caused injuries

A man who tripped and allegedly was injured at a Chicago transit station has sued the Chicago Transit Authority.

Francisco Rodriguez filed suit against the CTA May 6 in Cook County Circuit Court.

According to the complaint, on May 19, 2014, Rodriguez stepped on broken cement on the ramp at the Racine Blue Line train station, 430 S. Racine Ave., which caused him to fall and injure himself.

The plaintiff says the injuries cause great medical expense and severe and permanent injuries, pain and suffering he says he expects to continue into the future.

Rodriguez seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs. He is represented by attorney Robert A. Langendorf, of Chicago.
