Illinois has asked a judge to keep an automotive business from operating without a license.
The Illinois Department of Revenue filed suit May 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against RedLine Automotive Electronics, of Roselle, and Raymond Jaquinde.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 18, 2013, the defendants had their certificate of registration revoked by the state for failure to pay sales and income taxes and for failure to file returns. The suit says the defendant has continued to operate the business unlicensed in violation of the law.
The plaintiff asks the court to issue an injunction to keep the defendant from operating the business until all violations of law have been corrected and a license has been reissued. The state is represented by Illinois Assistant Attorney General James E. Cummings.
