Customer blames restaurant for injuries

A customer is suing a Mount Prospect fast-food restaurant, alleging she suffered injuries in the eatery.

Delfina Constanza filed a lawsuit June 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen Inc.

According to the complaint, on July 7, 2013, Costanza was a customer of the defendant's restaurant, at 1790 W. Algonquin Road, Mount Prospect, when she was injured.

The suit alleges the plaintiff was negligent for failing to secure the dining room tables to the floor, secure chairs to the floor, warn the plaintiff about the danger of adjusting said chairs and tables in the dining room, maintain the location and/or placement of these tables and chairs, and putting all these tables and chairs too close to the walls.

As a result, the plaintiff alleges she sustained unspecified injury, pain and suffering, loss of a normal life and medical expenses.

Constanza seeks $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by attorney Maxwell J. Brown of Disparti Law Group in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L006041.
