A Cook County woman is suing Chicago Heights adult entertainment business, Club 390, alleging a disabled male relative was hurt in a fight in the club's parking lot, even though he was not a combatant in the fight.
Noelia Miraballes-Lopez, as guardian of the estate of Robert Urbanavicius Lopez, a disabled man, filed a lawsuit July 30 in Cook County Circuit Court against Evelyn Sweeney and Michael Rossi of Club 390, citing negligence.
According to the claim, both Sweeney and Rossi practiced careless judgment on the night of Aug. 1, 2014, at Club 390, located at 390 E. Joe Orr Road, Chicago Heights, when a fight broke out in the parking lot of the facility among numerous unnamed patrons who were served alcoholic beverages until they were intoxicated that evening. Urbanavicius Lopez allegedly was injured from receiving strikes with a wooden club to his hands, arms, legs, chest, body, face, neck and skull, despite not being involved with the fight.
Miraballes-Lopez is seeking more than $50,000 plus court costs, the claim states.
She is being represented by Heller and Richmond, Ltd in Chicago.
