A Cook County man is suing two other individuals, alleging he was injured by a moving vehicle while attempting to cross a Chicago street.
Raul Mendoza filed a lawsuit Aug. 3 in Cook County Circuit Court against Alymkul Turgunbaev and Sandra Friedman, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on March 5, Mendoza was struck by Turgunbaev’s vehicle when he was walking within the crosswalk, from north to south, on the east side of Monroe’s intersection with Clinton in Chicago. The suit says the collision caused Mendoza to suffer severe and permanent injuries and pecuniary damages as a result of the impact.
The suit says Turgunbaev was negligent in not stopping his vehicle in time. The plaintiff blames Friedman as owner of the vehicle.
Mendoza seeks more than $50,000 in damages, plus costs. He is represented by attorney John Grazian of Grazian & Volpe in Chicago.
