Table

A man is suing the owner of a table saw, alleging it caused him injury while visiting the owner's home.

Anthony Bigham filed a lawsuit Aug. 7 in Cook County Circuit Court against Theodore J. Zielinski, alleging negligence and carelessness.

According to the complaint, on July 12, Bigham was in the basement of the home owned by Zielinski at 3319 N. Kilpatrick Ave., Chicago, when he injured his right hand on a table saw which the defendant had given him permission to use.

The suit says the defendant was negligent in letting a dangerous condition to exist in his house, keeping the saw in the basement, letting it to fall into disrepair, and failing to place guards on the blades, and warn Bigham that it was dangerous to use the saw.

As a result, the suit states, the plaintiff suffered injury, pain and suffering and medical expense.

Bigham seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs. He is represented by attorney Robert Dadourian of Zneimer & Zneimer in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L008073.
