Company seeks payment for lease of proprietary information

Bre

A sports data company that leased out proprietary information is suing a gaming business, alleging lack of payment.

STATS filed a complaint Aug. 7 in Cook County Circuit Court against DFS Gaming Inc.

According to the complaint, in February 2014, STATS and DFS Gaming entered into a three-year agreement giving the defendant the right to use the plaintiff's proprietary information in return for licensing fees. As of May 1, 2015, the lawsuit states, the DFS Gaming has failed to make full payment.

STATS seeks the alleged balance due of $394,500, plus attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by Stein and Rotman of Chicago.
