Aldi

A man is suing over claims he was injured in the aisles of an Aldi Food Store after slipping in water.

John C. Daleiden filed a lawsuit Aug. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Aldi Inc. citing negligence and the Premise Liability Act.

According to the complaint, Daleiden was legally traversing through an Aldi Food Store, located at 1365 Lee St., Des Plaines, on April 20 when he slipped on water and fell on the floor in the cash register aisle, which resulted in injuries which he alleged caused him to become sick, sore and disabled and unable to attend to his usual affairs and duties.

Daleiden is seeking damages of more than $50,000, the minimal jurisdictional limit of the court, plus court costs, for Aldi’s negligence to not properly remove water from the floor.

He is being represented by Robert D. Fink of the Collision Law Office in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L008123.
