A Home Depot customer is suing over claims he was injured outside of a Chicago Home Depot store.
Shawn Cobb filed a lawsuit Aug. 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against the Home Depot Inc., citing negligence in a 2013 injury.
According to the claim, Cobb was about to shop at the Home Depot store at 4555 S. Western Blvd., Chicago, on Aug. 13, 2013, when he suffered injuries on a pipe sticking out of the ground from a cut down stop sign.
Cobb is seeking damages of more than $50,000, plus the cost of this suit, for Home Depot’s negligence to not tend to the dangerous condition on which Cobb suffered injuries, the claim states.
