A Supermercado La Villa customer is suing over claims that she was injured in the aisles of the Chicago-based grocery store.
Angelica Ramos filed a lawsuit Aug. 10 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against Supermercado La Villa Inc. citing negligence.
According to the claim, Ramos was legally shopping at Supermercado La Villa at 5020 W. Fullerton Ave., Chicago, on Aug. 22, 2010, when she slipped on an unknown substance on the floor and fell, resulting in injuries and damages of a personal pecuniary and permanent nature, requiring her to expend money for medical care and treatment.
Ramos is seeking damages of more than $50,000 plus the costs of this suit for Supermercado La Villa Inc.’s negligence to not tend to an unknown substance on the floor upon which Ramos slipped and incurred injury, the claim states.
