Chicago woman sues Holy Cross Hospital for mistreatment

Holycross

A Chicago woman is suing over claims she was mistreated at Chicago-based Holy Cross Hospital.

Frankie Brown filed a lawsuit Aug. 18 in Cook County Circuit Court against Holy Cross Hospital and Sinai Health System, citing negligence.

According to the claim, Holy Cross Hospital, located at 2701 W. 68th St., and its staff, practiced careless judgment while caring for Brown after she was admitted July 8, 2014, in where she developed pressure ulcers and wounds on her body, including but not limited to her sacrum/coccyx and feet and ankles, which were first documented after being transferred to an outside hospital on Aug. 3, 2014.

Brown is seeking damages of more than $50,000, plus the cost of this lawsuit, to fairly and justly compensate her for her injuries and medical treatment in addition to Holy Cross Hospital’s negligence to not further care for her condition, the claim states.

She is being represented by Brian K. Hetzer of Karlin, Fleisher and Falkenberg in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L008435.
