A woman is suing over claims that she was injured in the aisles of a certain Dollar Tree store.

Tiffany Tesoro filed a lawsuit Aug. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dollar Tree Stores Inc., citing negligence.

According to the claim, Tesoro was legally shopping at a Dollar Tree Store, located at 5000 Broadview Village, Broadview, on Aug. 31, 2013, when she slipped and fell on the floor on a liquid substance, resulting in severe and permanent injuries both externally and internally, which has hindered her from attending to her usual duties and overall lifestyle.

Tesoro is seeking damages of more than $50,000, plus the costs of the suit, for the Dollar Tree’s negligence to not tend to a slippery floor upon which Tesoro fell and incurred injury, the claim states.

She is being represented by Stein and Shulman in Chicago.
