A Cook County man is suing three doctors and a hospital, alleging wrongful death in his wife's passing.

Eugene Washington, executor of Naomi Washington’s estate, filed a lawsuit in Aug. 4 Cook County Circuit Court against St. Bernard Hospital, Reymar Clinic Health Care Inc., Dr. Dante Pimentel, Dr. Antonio Senat and Dr. Maglaya Adolpho, alleging the Illinois Wrongful Death Act.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 25, 2013, Naomi Washington was admitted to St. Bernard Hospital under the defendants’ care. During her stay, the suit says, Washington was improperly restrained, allowing her to fall and suffer head and facial injuries. Due to the fall, she suffered subarachnoid bleeding in the brain, causing her condition to deteriorate, which ultimately led to her death Aug. 5, 2014, the lawsuit states.

Eugene Washington seeks more than $100,000 in damages. He is represented by attorney Mark P. Munninghoff of Munday, Nathan & Schulkin in Chicago.
