Three people are suing a cookware manufacturer over allegations of wrongful death in a dispute surrounding an auto accident that caused three women’s deaths.

Francisco Adame, Alejandro Montalvo and Manuel Duran filed a lawsuit Sept. 25 in Cook County Circuit Court, Law Division against The Pampered Chef Ltd., Labor Solutions LLC and Margot Santillan. Adame, Alejandro and Duran are filing on behalf of the estates of Juana Anaya, Danna Mejia and Maria Duran, respectively.

According to the lawsuit, Anaya, Mejia and Duran worked for Labor Solutions as temporary employees for The Pampered Chef. The claim states that on Sept. 26, 2013, Santillan was driving the three women from Labor Solutions’ Chicago office to work at The Pampered Chef in Addison. The suit says Santillan’s allegedly negligent driving caused an accident on Interstate 290 that killed the other three passengers. The charges for The Pampered Chef and Labor Solutions include wrongful death and negligence, the suit says.

The three plaintiffs are seeking a jury trial, litigation costs and damages of more than $50,000. Richard J. Pendergast Ltd., The Jasmer Law Firm and Ellis Legal P.C., all of Chicago, are representing the plaintiffs.

Cook County Circuit Court, Law Division case number 2015-L-009804.
