A 51-year-old Cook County man is suing a health care facility, alleging malpractice.

Michael Angeloni filed a lawsuit Sept. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against Loyola University Health System, doing business as Loyola University Medical Center, and against registered nurses Kimberly Saunders, Becky Szymkowiak, Katarina Morandi, Carla Cavaliere and Debra Madrzyk.

According to the complaint, Angeloni developed multiple pressure sores while he was a patient at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood from Oct. 1-Dec. 12, 2013. These sores, the suit says, required surgical debridement and hospitalization at the time, and still require treatment.

According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff developed these wounds as a result of the defendants’ alleged negligence.

Angeloni seeks damages of more than $50,000. He is represented by attorney Nicole T. Schroeder of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015-L-009127.
