Wife seeks to reverse dismissal of wrongful death case involving husband

Judges desk

CHICAGO – A Cook County woman is petitioning to reinstate a previous wrongful death dispute involving her husband that was dismissed due to the defendant’s bankruptcy.

Sabrina Minonne, administrator of the estate of Mark Minonne, filed a lawsuit Dec. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against Complete Hydraulic Service & Sales Inc., alleging a case of wrongful death and product liability.

According to the complaint, Sabrina Minonne’s original wrongful death case against Complete Hydraulic was delayed and then dismissed due to the company’s bankruptcy. Because of a docketing error, the plaintiff alleges her move to vacate the dismissal was filed five days past the deadline.

However, based on legal precedent and the meritorious facts of the case, Minonne seeks to reinstate her action against Complete Hydraulic.

Minonne seeks dismissal of the Nov. 2, 2015 order to vacate the case, as well as its reinstatement. She is represeneted by attorneys James J. Morici Jr., Mitchell B. Friedman and Tomas Cabrera of Morici, Figlioli & Associates in Chicago.
