CHICAGO – A Cook County woman is suing The Grove of Northbrook, alleging negligence led to her 88-year-old father’s injuries and death.

Kira Tsorin, independent administrator of the estate of Mark Misersky, filed a lawsuit Dec. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against The Grove of Northbrook Living & Rehab Center LLC, Progressive Healthcare Consulting LLC and Legacy Healthcare Financial Services LLC, alleging negligence and wrongful death.

According to the complaint, Misersky was a resident of The Grove for nearly a year, requiring assistance with daily living activities and ambulation, as well as supervision to prevent falls. The suit says Misersky fell and broke a bone in his neck and developed numerous pressure ulcers while he lived at The Grove due to the staff’s failure to render proper supervision and care.

The lawsuit states these injuries contributed to Misersky’s death Dec. 5, 2014.

Tsorin seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus litigation costs. She is represented by attorney Zachary R. Greening of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
