Man bounced by security accuses strip club of battery

Security guard

CHICAGO – A Cook County man says bouncers at the Red Diamond Strip Club assaulted him after he left a birthday celebration with friends.

Sterling L. Webb filed a lawsuit Jan. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court against Red Diamond Strip Club, alleging battery.

According to the complaint, Webb claims he was unarmed and posed no threat as he left the Red Diamond in Markham at 2 a.m. on March 4, 2015. As he exited the building, Webb says he told bouncers he was not part of an ongoing altercation outside, but they allegedly ignored his statement and threw him to the ground without provocation or reason. Webb says he suffered unspecified injuries during the incident.

Webb seeks damages in excess of $30,000, plus litigation costs. He is represented by attorney Robert I. Briskman of Briskman Briskman & Greenberg in Chicago.
