CHICAGO — A 28-year-old Cook County man says he was injured in an unprovoked attack by three men on the premises of MSUB Enterprises that left him in a coma for a time, and unable to work for eight months.

Ryan Lambert filed a lawsuit Feb. 1 in Cook County Circuit Court against Michael Bliss, Richard Dolan, Kevin Murphy and MSUB Enterprises Inc., alleging personal injury liability. Bliss and Dolan pleaded guilty in separate criminal proceedings, according to the suit.

According to the complaint, at 3:09 p.m. on July 26, 2014, Lambert was hit repeatedly about the face and head by Bliss, Dolan and Murphy at MSUB Enterprises at 10509 S. Western Ave. in Chicago. Lambert suffered multiple facial fractures, legal blindness in his right eye and loss of vision in his left eye.

Lambert's lawsuit alleges negligence on the part of MSUB Enterprises, saying employees of the company are believed to have seen the attack and did nothing to protect him.

Lambert seeks damages in excess of $100,000 for pain and suffering, medical costs, and lost earnings and earning capacity, plus litigation costs. He is represented by attorney Carl Kubaszewski of Chicago.
