CHICAGO—A Wisconsin truck driver is suing a property owner, property manager, tenant and contractor over injuries he allegedly sustained on the defendants' premises.
Brian M. Field filed a lawsuit on Feb. 9 in Cook Circuit Court against The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company; Exel Inc.; Centurion Investments; and James Fay, doing business as Farm Boy Services, alleging negligence and premises liability.
Field was on the premises of the Goodyear distribution center at 3095 Corporate Drive in DeKalb on Feb. 10, 2014. The property is owned by Centurion Investments and managed by Exel, which hired Fay and Farm Boy Services for various services on the property, including keeping the driveways and parking lots free of snow and ice.
Field claims he fell on accumulated snow and ice on the premises, which resulted in personal injuries and damages.
The suit alleges the defendants were negligent in failing to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition, among other negligent acts or omissions.
Field seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs of the suit. He is represented by attorney Robert Gerald Lorge of Lorge & Lorge Law Firm in Madison, Wisconsin, and by attorney Gary M. Feiereisel of Feiereisel & Kasbohm in Chicago.
