CHICAGO—A patient is suing a Chicago hospital, citing alleged negligence that resulted in an injury.
Raymond Vanco filed a complaint on Jan. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against The University of Chicago Medical Center Inc. alleging that the health care service provider knowingly violated the generally accepted medical practices and standards of rendering reasonable care and treatment.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered severe and permanent injuries both physical and emotional during his admission at the hospital. Vanco holds the medical center responsible because its staff allegedly failed to recognize the severity of his symptoms and its complications.
Vanco seeks compensation for an amount in excess of $50,000, plus the costs of the suit.. He is represented by Rebecca Neubauer of Romanucci & Blandin Inc. in Chicago.
