CHICAGO – A woman is suing health care providers over allegations of her mother's wrongful death.

Kakesia Walker, as independent administrator of the estate of Lucille Walker, filed suit Feb. 24 in Cook County Circuit Court against THC-Chicago Inc., doing business as Kindred Hospital - Chicago North, and Thorek Memorial Hospital, citing wrongful death.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between Feb. 24, 2014, and June 28, 2014, Lucille Walker sustained injuries that ultimately contributed to her death while under the care of the defendants. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to recognize, treat and accurately diagnose skin breakdown and pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff seeks the compensation for all damages and injuries suffered. She is represented by Paul D. Richter of Kralovec, Jambos & Schwartz in Chicago.
