CHICAGO — A man is suing a medical center, claiming that black ice in its parking lot caused him to fall and break his leg.

Lino Stellabotte is suing Presence Resurrection Medical Center, citing alleged negligence that resulted in an injury.

The plaintiff filed suit on March 4 in Cook County Circuit Court, claiming that when Presence Resurrection Medical Center had snow and ice removed from its handicapped parking area on March 3, 2015, it failed to put salt on the pavement, creating an unsafe condition by allowing black ice to remain.

The plaintiff seeks compensation in excess of $50,000 plus the costs of suit.. He is represented by Bridget A. Clark-Castrejon of Clark-Castrejon Law Firm in Chicago.
