CHICAGO – A man has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against two doctors and Palos Community Hospital.
Paul E. O'Shea, individually and as executor of the estate of Joyce M. O'Shea, filed a complaint on Jan. 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against Palos Community Hospital, Palos Medical Group LLC, Dr. Stephen Chester and Amy Pannaralla, D.O., citing wrongful death.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 21, 2013, his wife underwent radiologic tests that found nodules in the base of the right lower lobe. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide appropriate cancer diagnosis and treatment, which resulted to the shortened of life expectancy of his wife, who died on Oct. 11, 2014.
The plaintiff seeks compensation for a sum of more than $100,000. He is represented by Mark P. Munninghoff of Munday, Nathan & Schulkin in Chicago.
