CHICAGO – A concrete worker is suing over injuries he alleged sustained while working on a job site.

Omar Romero filed a complaint on March 4 Cook County Circuit Court against Jaroslaw Formicki, Jolanta Formicki, Avanti Enterprises, Chris Carpentry and Corrib Carpentry, citing premises liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 29, 2015, he suffered injuries caused by an I-beam that fell and struck him while working on a construction site. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to notify and warn him of the unsecured beam on the premises.

The plaintiff seeks the compensation for an amount in excess of the minimum amount required for jurisdiction in the court. He is represented by Daniel M. Kotin and Philip P. Terrazzino of Tomasik Kotin Kasserman LLC in Chicago.
