CHICAGO — A couple's lawsuit against health-care providers alleges that negligence resulted in extensive scarring.
Nicole L. Hassan and Sam Hassan filed suit on March 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against Northwest Community Healthcare, Northwest Community Hospital, Dr. Stephen A. Madry and Advocate Health and Hospital Corporation.
The couple's suit alleges a failure to provide proper care in connection with Nicole L. Hassan's post-mastectomy breast implant in March 2014, which the suit says resulted in infection and required surgery to exchange the implant, leading to extensive scarring.
The plaintiffs seekcompensation for an amount in excess of $50,000 plus the costs of suit. They are represented by James A. Karamanis of Barney & Karamanis, LLP in Chicago.
