Cook County man files suit after allegedly suffering pain after foot surgery

Foot surgery

CHICAGO —A Cook County man  is suing his surgeon and the hospital he works at after an alleged negligence in surgery resulted in an injury.

Gilbert Gonzalez filed a complaint on March 10 in Cook Circuit Court against Charles Bradley Schubert and Suburban Surgery Center Incorporated, alleging that they knowingly failed to adhere to the accepted standard of care in medical treatment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 13, 2014, he suffered pain in the right side and numbness in his right foot and came to the defendant, who performed a surgery to fix the issue. However, after still experiencing pain and getting another surgery, Gonzalez was allegedly still experiencing pain. The plaintiff holds Charles Bradley Schubert and Suburban Surgery Center Incorporated responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to perform radiofrequency ablation of the right lesser saphenous vein in a proper manner.

The plaintiff seeks compensation for an amount in excess of $50,000. He is represented by Craig A. Hoffman of Ruberry, Stalmack & Garvey LLC in Chicago.
