CHICAGO – A resident of a nursing facility is suing it, alleging it failed to produce her requested medical records.
Soo Koo Yiu filed a complaint on March 14 in Cook County Circuit Court against Glenbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre LTD, citing violation of codes regarding examination of health care records.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 21, 2015, and again on Nov. 24, 2015, she requested her medical records and claims the defendant has not produced them. The plaintiff holds Glenbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly disregarded the request pertaining to the release of her medical records.
The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for an amount of more than $50,000 and an order to produce the records. She is represented by Elliott H. Robbins of Robbins & Robbins LTD in Chicago.
