CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing a Palos Heights nursing home, alleging negligence.

Peter Ellis, administrator of the estate of Mary Eliopulos,  filed a complaint March 16 in Cook County Circuit Court against Manor Care Of Oak Lawn (East) IL, LLC alleging it violated the Illinois Nursing Home Care Act by failing to exercise ordinary care in giving proper nursing care and treatment.

According to the complaint, between March 17-24, 2014, Eliopulos suffered pressure ulcers and infection that led to her death. The suit says the defendant failed to properly supervise the personal and medical care, and provide necessary treatment to Eliopulos to prevent the development of pressure ulcers.

Ellis seeks at least $50,000, plus attorney fees and costs of suit. He is represented by attorney David G. Pribyl of Dudley & Lake LLC in Libertyville.
