CHICAGO — A Chicago woman is suing a Melrose Park health services provider, alleging negligence resulting in injury

Debra Gaston filed a lawsuit March 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Michelle Alexandre of Melrose Park and Roya Family Medical Center, Ltd., a health service provider, alleging they failed to exercise ordinary care as qualified medical practitioner in giving care and treatment.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 9, 2014, Gaston was admitted to Roya Family with a diagnosis of avascular necrosis in her right hip that required treatment and surgery. The suit says the defendants failed to prescribe her medicine properly that caused injuries.

Gaston seeks more than $50,000, plus the costs of suit. She is represented by attorney Brian K. Hetzer of Karlin, Fleisher & Falkenberg LLC in Chicago.
