Widow accuses motorist of causing husband's death

CHICAGO — A widow is suing two Illinois residents, alleging their negligence caused an auto accident that killed her husband.

Deisy Nunez de Sotelo, as administrator for the estate of Francisco Sotelo Juarez, filed a suit March 25 in Cook County Circuit Court against Derrick Williams and Sandra Carter, alleging negligence and failing to exercise due care in the operation and control of vehicle.

According to the complaint, on March 19, Juarez, a passenger in a car, died due to vehicle collision in Dolton. Nunez de Sotelo alleges Williams failed to drive safely and without keeping a proper and sufficient lookout. The car driven by Williams was owned by Carter, the suit says

Nunez de Sotelo seeks more than $50,000, plus the costs of suit. She is represented by attorney Scott E. Encher of Steven B. Salk & Associates LTD in Chicago.
