CHICAGO — A Cook County woman is suing two medical supply companies, alleging negligence resulting in injury.

Rosalyn McDonald-Henry filed a lawsuit March 28, in the Cook Circuit Court against Doubek Medical Supply Inc. and Nova Ortho-Med Inc., alleging negligence and failure to provide adequate instructions and warnings for the proper use of a walker.

According to the complaint, on April 11, 2014, McDonald-Henry was severely injured after falling to the ground while using the knee walker that collapsed. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide verbal and/or written instruction as to the proper use and maintenance of the knee walker.

McDonald-Henry seeks a trial by jury and damages in excess of court's jurisdictional limits, plus the costs of suit. She is represented by attorney Thomas G. Gorman of Schiff Gorman LLC in Chicago.
