CHICAGO — A woman is suing Clarity Clinic L.L.C., a mental health clinic, citing alleged negligence resulting in injury.
Amanda Walsh filed a complaint on March 30, in the Cook Circuit Court against Clarity Clinic L.L.C. alleging that the mental health clinic knowingly violated the Clinical Psychology Licensing Act by allowing an unlicensed psychiatrist to provide mental health services.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, between December 30, 2015 and February 1, 2015, she has suffered emotional distress. The plaintiff holds Clarity Clinic L.L.C. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide her a duly licensed professional for a mental health care treatment.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an amount in excess of the court's jurisdictional limits plus costs of suit. She is represented by Kenneth A. Hoffman of Mitchell Hoffman & Wolf, L.L.C. in Chicago.
