CHICAGO – A special administrator is suing two drivers and a trucking company alleging negligence after a fatal accident in Harvey.

Shirley Goer, as special administrator for the estate of Brian McChristian, filed a complaint on April 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against DNJ Intermodal Services, Ramiro Rangel and Tyrees Baynes, citing negligence and wrongful death.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 21, 2015, McChristian sustained injuries resulting in his death in a vehicle accident at the intersection of 159th Street and Center Avenue in Harvey. The suit states McChristian was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Baynes and the vehicle struck a tractor-trailer owned by DNJ Intermodal Services and driven by Rangel. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to avoid the collision and negligently drove their vehicles without keeping a proper and sufficient lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an amount of more than $50,000, plus the costs of suit. She is represented by Jerry Bischoff of Law Offices of Jerry Bischoff in Chicago and Michael E. Rediger of Law Office of Michael E. Rediger PC in Chicago.
