CHICAGO – A woman is suing real estate and housing firms alleging that they failed to exercise due care and caution for the safety of the persons lawfully inside their premises.

Tracy Holloway filed a complaint on April 1 in Cook County Circuit Court against MAC Property Management LLC, 5034-5046 South Woodlawn LLC and Antheus Capital LLC, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 17, 2014, she was struck by a defective door, causing her injuries. The plaintiff holds MAC Property Management LLC, 5034-5046 South Woodlawn LLC and Antheus Capital LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly permitted and allowed the dangerous condition to remain and failed to remedy or repair it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an amount of more than $50,000, plus the costs of suit. She is represented by Jacquelyn Fernandez of The Vrdolyak Law Group LLC in Chicago.
