CHICAGO – An estate independent executor has filed suit against several care facilities alleging that they failed to provide adequate assistance and supervision in giving care and treatment to her decedent.
Beth Oliver, as independent executor of the estate of Mary L. Panter, filed a complaint on April 5 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Spring Valley Nursing Center LLC, Spring Valley Nursing Center-Limited Partnership, Aperion Care Spring Valley LLC and Jennifer Maynard, alleging negligence and wrongful death.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between Dec.12, 2014, and Feb.19, 2015, Panter suffered renal failure, dehydration and infection, which caused her death on March 4, 2015. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate medical and personal care.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an amount of more than $50,000. She is represented by Ashley H. Herschberger and Susan L. Novosad of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
