CHICAGO — A Chicago man is suing a railroad company, alleging its negligence caused him to be injured.

According to the complaint, on April 25, 2014, Castro sustained injuries after falling to the ground while attempting to activate a train's refrigeration unit at the Bedford Park facility. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to respond to his request for assistance and failed in providing sufficient tools and supervision.

The plaintiff alleges he has sustained severe and permanent injuries and will be responsible for medical bills.

Castro seeks trial by jury, plus more than $50,000 in damages. He is represented by attorneys Ben Crane and Stephen Blecha of Coplan & Crane in Oak Park.
