CHICAGO — A Chicago student is suing a local community college, alleging negligence led to her injuries.
Natasha Richardson of Chicago filed a lawsuit April 13, in Cook County Circuit Court against Cook County Community College District No. 508 and the city of Chicago, alleging negligence in failing to keep their premises in a reasonably safe condition.
According to the complaint, on April 22, 2015, Richardson suffered injuries when a ceiling tile fell and struck her. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to inspect their premises to keep and maintain the property in a proper and safe condition.
The plaintiff alleges she sustained injuries of a personal and pecuniary nature.
Richardson seeks a trial by jury and more $50,000, plus the costs of suit. She is represented by attorney David B. Nemeroff of Nemeroff Law Offices LTD in Chicago.
