Patient alleges health care professionals provided negligent care

Wheelchair 07

CHICAGO — A patient is suing a Des Plaines health care facility, alleging negligence led her fall and injuries.

Lidia Golden filed a lawsuit April 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against Presence Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines and Cynthia Kho, alleging they failed to exercise standard care in providing medical and treatment services.

According to the complaint, on May 9, 2014, Golden suffered a fracture in right fibula and tibia and in left malleolar tip and talus tarsal resulting from a fall at Presence Holy Family. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly administer and supervise the physical therapy service to prevent falls and injuries to patients.

Golden seeks a trial by jury, an amount in excess of the court's jurisdictional limits, plus costs of suit. She is represented by attorney Eva E. Golabek of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago.
