CHICAGO – The mayor of the Village of Franklin Park is suing a Cook County resident alleging that he knowingly and maliciously republished false information and accusations.

Barrett F. Pedersen filed a complaint on April 22 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Eugene Piltaver, citing defamation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 21, he suffered great harm to his reputation as a highly regarded member of the community.
