Man alleges he was injured when removed from Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center

CHICAGO – An individual alleges that a medical health provider's employees used excessive force in attempting to remove him from the facility.

Jean Saintilus filed a complaint on April 6 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Advocate North Side Health Network, doing business as Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, citing alleged assault, battery, excessive force and negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb.  4, he was at the defendant's facility for treatment for anemia. The plaintiff holds Advocate North Side Health Network responsible because the defendant's employees allegedly used excessive force when asking plaintiff to leave the hospital before he was discharged by a physician, causing injuries to plaintiff. He alleges that he suffered personal injuries as a result being thrown to the ground and being struck on the knee.

The plaintiff seeks declare judgment against the defendant of more than $50,000 plus legal fees. He is represented by Francis K. Tennant of Wolf & Tennant in Chicago.
