CHICAGO — A Cook County woman is suing the organizers of an event at a Chicago church, alleging negligence led to her suffering injuries.

Shannon House filed a lawsuit May 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against Apostolic Church of God, Addison All Sports Company Inc., doing business as Four Seasons Amusements, alleging negligence in failing to maintain a safe environment during the event.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 2, 2014, House suffered injuries when struck by the roof of the trackless train during an event at the Apostolic Church of God, 6320 S. Drochester Ave., Chicago. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to supervise their trackless train attendants and operators to ensure no accidents would happen, and that the operators negligently, carelessly and improperly operated the train.

The suit says the plaintiff suffered injuries of a personal and pecuniary nature, plus pain and suffering, medical expenses, lost wages and pain and disability.

House seeks damages necessary to compensate for all her losses. She is represented by attorney David A. Baez of Willens Law Offices PC in Chicago.
