CHICAGO – A Chicago company that offers foreclosure solutions is seeking the court's help to keep the license for an accounting software program it uses.
American Homeowner Preservation LLC filed a complaint on March 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against Intacct Corp. and NDH Group LTD citing interference with contractual relations and seeking an injunction.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 26 it received a letter stating it owed more than $20,000 to NDH for counseling fees and that the plaintiff's contract to use the Intacct software would be terminated if the fee was not paid. The plaintiff alleges it sent NDH a check to pay for the renewal of the license but it is not know if the defendant accepted it for that purpose. It alleges that it will suffer severe and irreparable harm if the Intacct program is discontinued.
The plaintiff seeks judgment in favor of the plaintiff and against the defendants, in the sum of $1,000,000 as compensatory damages and additional $1,000,000 as exemplary damages, award plaintiff all costs, interest, and attorney's fees and any further relief as the court deems appropriate. It is represented by Alan E. Sohn of Law Offices of Alan E. Sohn in Chicago.
