CHICAGO – A nursing home administrator is suing a physician alleging damages to his reputation.
Philip D. Thompson filed a complaint on March 31 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Bino Varghese Oommen, citing per se defamation.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in July 2015, he suffered damages to his reputation, career and his professional employment as a result of statements made by the defendant. Thompson alleges the defendant claimed Thompson attempted criminal acts and other false statements. The suit states Thompson is the former nursing home administrator for Brentwood North Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for compensatory damages in excess of the minimum amount of $50,000 and exemplary damages. He is represented by William F. Zieske of Zieske Law and Fine Arts Legal in Harvard.
