CHICAGO — An Illinois man is suing the owners of a Grant Park restroom facility, alleging their negligence caused him to fall and suffer injuries.
Fred Folmer filed a lawsuit May 3 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Homewood Disposal Service Inc., Service Sanitations Inc., Bughuul Productions LLC and Blumhouse Productions LLC, alleging they failed to make sure that their portable lavatory was safe for their guests.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 6, 2014, Folmer suffered personal injuries when he slipped and fell in the lavatory at 9042 N. 14500 Road, Grant Park The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to maintain and make certain precautions for users of their portable lavatory in that there were no handrails and no awning to prevent the area around the lavatory from becoming wet and slippery.
Folmer seeks judgment of more than $50,000. He is represented by attorney Joseph R. Curcio of Curcio Law Offices in Chicago.
