Law money 06

CHICAGO — An Indiana real estate company is suing an Illinois business, alleging fraudulent schemes to prevent the plaintiff from recovering payment for property sold.

A.L. Dougherty Real Estate Management Company LLC and Phyllis K. Dougherty filed a lawsuit March 31 in Cook County Circuit Court against Cube Global LLC of Glendale Heights, Su Chin Tsai, Li Heng Tu, Li Yen Tu, Li Jen Tu and Matrix International Inc., alleging fraud and unpaid debt.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs have suffered financial damages as a result of unpaid lease for property in Elk Grove Village. The plaintiffs allege the defendants orchestrated fraudulent activities in order for the plaintiffs not to be paid the amount they were owed.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury, judgment against the defendants in an amount to be determined at trial and any further relief the court deems fit. They are represented by attorneys Richard M. Hoffman and Amanda J. Wendorff of Cohen, Salk & Huvard, PC in Northbrook.
