Hoffman Estates father blames motorist for daughter's death

Car accident 39

CHICAGO — A Hoffman Estates man is suing a motorist, alleging his negligence caused his daughter's death.

Hammad Haq, independent administrator for the estate of Aleeza Haq,  filed a lawsuit Feb. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Amarisinh Chaudhari, alleging negligence in failing to properly control his vehicle.

According to the complaint, on June 13, 2015, his daughter Aleeza Haq, while attending a family graduation party, was struck by a car driven by Chaudhari as she crossed Thatcher Street in Hoffman Estates, which caused her death. The plaintiff alleges Chaudhari operated his vehicle outside of the allowable speed limit and failed to keep a proper lookout.

Hammad Haq requests judgment of more than $50,000, plus all legal fees. He is represented by attorneys Esther Joy Schwartz and Jonathan R. Puskar of Stellato & Schwartz LTD in Chicago.
