Man alleges he was struck at the Green Dolphin

CHICAGO – A Cook County man is suing a nightclub and two of its employees, alleging that they struck him in the face and head.

Eduardo Diaz filed a complaint on May 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against The Green Dolphin Inc.; Samuel Ford IV and Jocorey Jenkins, individually and as agents, servants or employees of The Green Dolphin Inc., citing negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 23, 2014, he sustained physical injuries while at The Green Dolphin Inc., where the defendants were security guards. The plaintiff holds The Green Dolphin Inc., Ford IV and Jenkins responsible because Ford IV and Jenkins allegedly struck plaintiff based on their misapprehension of the need for self-defense and defendant Green Dolphin for failing to provide a safe environment for their patrons.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for a sum of money of more than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Gregory E. Kulis of Gregory E. Kulis & Associates LTD in Chicago.
